I can't remember ever purposely getting up early and going shopping on Black Friday. It makes me cringe to think of all those people shopping and in my way. I love online shopping for a reason! :)
THIS Black Friday we stopped at one store in Wichita because it was convenient and my son needed long sleeve shirts. It's a store that in KC is 30 minutes from my house. Since we were within a mile of the store while at E's parents house I actually kind of participated in Black Friday.
But there were no long lines during clothes shopping.
Then we stopped at Druber's on the way home from Wichita for a late night donut run. It wasn't much fun. But it WAS memorable.
The line was looooong and freezing cold. Part of the time Lucy and I sat in my dad's car, but as the rest of our crew neared the entrance we re-joined them in line.

Eric was looking sweeet in a random blanket found in my dad's car. I think green is his color. bwwaahahahaha.

Papa

Finally inside!
We were all trying to get a sneak peak of the donuts so we would be ready to order amongst the chaos.
Jake was miffed because there was no wi-fi and he was trying to do a word war with a friend. He's at 44,000 + words with a 50,000 word deadline on Tuesday. He was a bit of a party pooper. But we are SO fun that we made him have fun too. :)
OK, in reality we sat there for 10 minutes and inhaled our donuts so we could get out of there! It was nuts...loud, someone had to pee and we couldn't remember which door to use to find the bathroom (and we weren't about to try to ask someone because they were so busy), and people packed in everywhere.

So we ate and left. But it WAS memorable. :)
